WHAT ARE THE VIRTUAL MONTHLY EVENTS?
KACEE and MEEA (Missouri Environmental Education Association) are working together in 2021 to bring environmental education home to Kansans and Missourians through free, virtual monthly events. Each month brings you a fun and unique learning opportunity spanning a wide range of topics, from a short workshop on how to make your own beeswax food wraps, to an informational webinar & training on advocating for environmental education led by NAAEE's Sarah Bodor.
WHY ARE KACEE & MEEA HOSTING THE VMEs?
KACEE & MEEA decided to host the 2021 VMEs as an engaging way to build community virtually while we still aren't able to gather in person. The Virtual Monthly Events are an opportunity to learn new skills, to gain greater understanding of important topics and issues relating to EE, and to network and 'meet' other people who are also passionate about environmental education - across both Kansas and Missouri.
It is important to KACEE & MEEA to help elevate the work of environmental educators everywhere. We want to inspire a broader understanding of what environmental education (EE) is by connecting our communities to EE leaders, introducing new ways to engage in EE, and sharing a wide range of topics relating to EE.
