All you need to know about the Kansas and Missouri Environmental Education Virtual Conference
KACEE and MEEA are hard at work planning a fun and interactive virtual conference, bringing together both of our EE communities, presenters from both states, and lots of ways to engage with each other in an online setting! We opted to go virtual early in the year as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States in March. We wanted plenty of time to focus our efforts on creating an inspiring virtual event, and now that the pandemic continues its hold on the country, we are glad that we acted proactively.
The conference will be held Monday, November 2 through Saturday, November 7, largely in the afternoon-evening timeframe, and with several options for engagement including live and pre-recorded sessions – decided via feedback we received from all of you on your preferences. We will be using the platform Accelevents (We thought we've maybe all had enough Zoom time). Thank you to everyone who provided input via our emailed survey!
We have decided on six strand topics, including EE in the Classroom, Green Schools, Justice/Equity/Diversity/Inclusion in EE, EE in the Community, Early Childhood, and EE in the Time of COVID-19.
