EVENT
SPONSORSHIP
Dear Environmental Education Supporter,
We invite you to show your support for environmental education in our state by sponsoring Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE) events this year. KACEE unites public agencies, teachers, community organizations, businesses, and individuals behind a common cause - teaching kids how to think, not what to think, about environmental issues through non-biased and science-based EE.
KACEE is a 501(c)3 organization with a vison to grow a healthy, vibrant and resilient Kansas through the power of environmental education. A portion of your sponsorship is tax deductible. Your sponsorship will be recognized in our promotions, reaching 1300+ people across Kansas.
By sponsoring our fundraising events, you will help offset costs, reduce registration fees, and provide scholarships for educators. Support for environmental education is vital for a healthy environment, vibrant economy, and successful communities.
If environmental education is something that you or your organization deeply values, sponsoring one or more of our events provides the opportunity to live your values and lead your community by example.
Thank you for your consideration!

About the Event
This meetup is for everyone!
KWEC will be hosting an in-person regional gathering for those interested in networking, interacting with other educators in the area, and touring the Kansas Wetlands Education Center.
Cheyenne Bottoms is the largest wetland complex in the interior of the United States and early November is one of the best times to spot one of the rarest birds in North America, the Whooping Crane! Visit the Kansas Wetlands Education Center to experience the interactive exhibits, visit the classroom animals, and watch the 16-minute video about Cheyenne Bottoms.
Participants will learn about KWEC's educational programs and engage in one first-hand. Each registrant will also receive a copy of one of our most recent projects - Ava: A Year of Adventure in the Life of an American Avocet, a fully illustrated children's book about shorebirds and Cheyenne Bottoms.
The experience will end as you don binoculars and enjoy a guided tour of the marsh and its wildlife inhabitants. We can expect to see large flocks of geese (mostly White-fronts, and Snows), ducks (mixed species), Pelicans, Coots, Gulls, Grebes, and murmurations of Blackbirds. Other common species to see include Cormorants, Harriers, and Herons. There should be late shorebird migrants like Wilson's Snipe, Least Sandpipers, Killdeer, American Avocets, and Ibis. Flocks of Sandhill Cranes might be heard overhead.
See you there!
