Welcome to the KACEE Facilitator Corner
Dear KACEE Facilitator,
Thank you for your interest and involvement in KACEE's efforts to promote and provide environmental education in Kansas. Our commitment to quality, non-biased, science-based environmental education in Kansas and the philosophy of teaching students how to think rather than what to think continues to earn KACEE the respect and support of educators and resource professionals in our state.
It is because of the assistance of dedicated volunteers and facilitators that KACEE is able to provide professional development to hundreds of formal and non-formal educators each year. Without you, the mission of KACEE would be virtually impossible to attain.
The KACEE Facilitator Corner was prepared with the KACEE volunteer facilitator in mind. It is your guide for successfully planning, conducting, and reporting Project Learning Tree, Project WET, Project WILD, Project WILD Aquatic, Leopold Education Project, Growing Up WILD and PLT Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood workshops. To be considered a KACEE facilitator, you have attended a facilitator workshop for the project you are interested in facilitating and/or co-facilitated a workshop or workshops with KACEE staff. These experiences have provided you with the skills necessary to conduct a successful workshop. This facilitator site provides you with the resources: instructions, background information, forms, checklists, and tips!
It is not the purpose of these online resources to replace the professional support you can receive from KACEE staff, Board members, or other facilitators. You are encouraged to contact KACEE's Education Programs and Outreach Director and Education Specialists if you would like extra assistance, mentoring, or ideas.
Thank you again for your dedication to helping Kansans experience, understand, and care for the natural world to benefit our health, quality of life, and natural resource future.
