Detailed Festival Information:

The Leavenworth County Conservation District felt that there was a need to educate students about our natural resources and conservation. The District organized an outdoor classroom at one of the local parks in Leavenworth.

This year we decided to pay for buses for the schools because we knew that some schools would not attend because of their budgets. The The Lansing Kiwanis have helped pay for busing for the past 3 years. The District agreed to pay for the busing that we do not receive funds for. The busing issue was a big problem and I think that since we pay for the buses, that has helped with our attendance. We also have great presenters that make their station enjoyable for the students.
